It is quite ordinary, banal, common sense argument of the man who has discovered the common touch and who also, desperately, wants to be seen to be loved, each of the instances is a headlong falling into a narcissistic trap of seeing us seeing him being loved for his touch. At one level all that he says is rather obvious, at another HIS saying it is patronising and expropriative. It’s also dull.
