Re: Nancy Adajania’s talk: World Fairs are definitely “weird”, but not “defunct”: they’re called Expo now, the latest was in Shanghai in 2010, the next will run in 2020 in Dubai (where else?). To illustrate the weirdness, here’s the pavilion of my home country in Shanghai’s Expo. [Russian Pavilion in sunlight][1]
